At present, I have a 35 ft. TT. It has 3 slide outs but only a queen bed. I would like to drop back to a 27-30 ft. TT with a king bed and at least two opposing slide outs if possible. Has to be as far under 10,000 lbs. as I can get and less than 1,000 lbs. hitch weight. Any body know of a decent quality build with what I want?

King bed in a bumper pull might be really hard to find. It leaves very little space on each side of the bed.
Northwood Mfg's Arctic Fox 28F has opposing slides.
Nash has some larger units too, but they are all single slide

I'm going to say a 10K trailer is going to have closer to 1500 on the tongue if not more. The 10% that Tow vehicles assume is just a marketing ploy. You need something around 6,000lbs to get near or under 1,000 tongue weight.
The king bed is likely the big issue. Full length queen is more common than the "short queen" of years ago.
Last time we went to an RV show last fall I don't recall any TT with a king bed. 5th wheel, yes, "bumper pull" nope.

Outdoor RV has some REALLY nice trailers, looked at them at the RV show last fall. However IIRC they all had queen beds. And they are not lightweight, well designed and lots of thought into those who dry camp and go offroad.

Beat me to it, if you back out 1000lb max hitch weight at 15%...it works out to around 6700lb.
I would have no big issue dropping back to 12-13% but 10% is pretty marginal.
Also, ignore empty weight. Until proven otherwise, assume GVWR will be how you tow.

I would look at Cougar, they have a few king bed models; not sure about oposeing slides though. Good luck in your hunt!

I concur with kemfrs. If you want under a 1,000# hitch weight, you need a trailer with no more than 6,000# GVWR. Note that is not the dry weight. That is the MOST that it should weigh, ever.

Our Keystone Cougar has a king bed. That weighed a lot on our decision to buy this model...

I know that the Dutchmen Kodiak Ultimate all come with king beds; I have no idea if any of their length/models fit your other requirements.
