….. Last night we camped in NV ( no hook ups, just bathroom with nice hot showers ) at a ranch, they just asked for a donation ( we put in $5 )….Animals & stargazing…. Tonight it’s free at a WMA with clean vault toilet, fire ring, table, water…. A little bit of searching and willing to live without FHU & there you go…..

Recently I joined up with some friends at a fancy RV park in the wine country of California. It cost $75 a night and I could not wait to leave.

An RV park is okay of a night to recharge some batteries and take a shower. I like USFS campground and boondocking.

This is one reason I moved to Nevada and for the fishing in California but no desire to live in that _______ state. Cheers to the brave.

The price of a night's stay shouldn't surprise any of us. Remember two years ago when everyone and his cousin bought a new RV? Now they want to go camping, but the supply of camp spots hasn't kept pace with the demand from new campers.

I suppose the silver lining is that market conditions are pushing a lot of those new buyers out of the arena, so the demand should calm back down.

Boondocking is free.
USFS camp sites are half price with a senior card.
RV prices are all over the place. I rarely use them.
Still cheaper than other vacations and trips.

LOL! When was the last time you stayed in a hotel???

Market forces. With so many people buying RVs during COVID it's only natural that prices for sites will rise due to more competition from users.


I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be Douglas Adams

RV-less for now but our spirits are still on the open road.
