It's a good 2-lane road with no grades. Escapees use it all the time leaving the Escapees park in Deming. The only problem is that you'll pass up the best southwestern food in the country by missing Las Cruces... You will go thru the small town of Hatch just prior to the I-25 interchange but it's no big deal. we used to do it in our 40' class A towing a Jeep SUV.
