This is probably the first Chevy mid size truck that I actually like since the 1980's S10 (Almost purchased one back then, but couldn't resist that IROC Z). Not sure if these mid size trucks differentiate in price and fuel economy enough compared to a less optioned full size truck.

Had a Toyota Tacoma rental last week while truck was in the shop and hated driving that thing.

It's certainly a good looking midsize pickup. Unlike the previous gen, it was designed from the ground up for North America. I had a 2018 ZR2 with the 3.6L. It was crazy good off road. The interior was not great. I always thought that the 3.6 was kind of an odd engine for that pickup. The power looks really good, but the MPG isn't as good as many were hoping for. From the Utube videos I have seen its equal to or tad under the previous 3.6 NA engine, but depending on which version of the 2.7 Turbo your comparing it to, the 2.7 T is more power than the 3.6L. I am hoping that they drop the 3.0 diesel in it at some point. I think it is going to be very popular.

If you hated the Tacoma chances are pretty good you'll hate the Colorado as well.

At ~6'3" getting in and out was challenging. Truck being a crew cab with a 4 banger was gutless. I don't believe the Chevy has these issues.

What year was your IROC Z?
I bought my first new car in 1985 A blue IROC Z. I ordered it with all the goodies. I still have it. 47K on the clock. Just took it thru emissions on Tuesday. I have not had a car since then that turned heads like that one. And it still does today.

Same year as yours but was black. My mom worked at a Chevy dealership since 1960 so got a great deal from the owner of that dealer who drove it for ~ 3 months. Traded a 1970 Chevelle SS 454 for it. Still wish I had both cars.

They should change the name of the color from Nitro Yellow to Phlegm.
