They quoted ~$350 for a Dorman part so now I will need to decide to replace it myself(Motorcraft part only), take it to a shop, run it as is until winter or purchase a new truck. ![biggrin [emoticon]](https://forums.goodsamclub.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/biggrin.gif)

I was very satisfied with the truck up until I couldn’t get a replacement part that had to be OEM. If that wasn’t the case, I’d still happily be driving it.
Remember, my Ford sat at the dealer for over 8 weeks last year while waiting for parts. It was still under warranty and had less than 40,000 miles on it. So before you go throwing dirt/trolling, there are plenty of bad experience with your brand of choice as well.

Bigger tires are for aesthetics. They won’t be huge but I’ve never been a fan of stock size.
You want the truck to set "LEVEL" and ride on the overloads. Yes I get flashed at times but oh well! I set 55" top rear bed to ground with factory rear air. LOVE it!!!
You all realize headlights are adjustable, right?
Congrats on the new ride!

If the truck is down on the overloads it's going to ride pretty rough. I put bags on my old truck because it set down on the overloads, and rode like a lumber wagon. Got it off the overloads and it was fine. JME of course.
But FWIW, it looks like it's sitting a bit low in the rear. The truck that is.

That's what I going to suggest. Just aim your headlights at the garage door without your load to identify your base line, then hook up your trailer and at the same distance from your garage door, adjust them to ~ the same height. This will reduce you lighted distance unloaded but should prevent blinding on coming traffice while loaded. Had to do this with my truck especially when I converted to LED's.

Never denied there was cam phaser problems. As a matter of fact, that known problem existed for way too long and I've critized some of the poor quality coming from them lately.
Enjoy your new truck. Hope its a good one.

I’m still waiting for the cam phaser fix. This was a failed rear axle.

I know you want Motorcraft but Rockauto has Dorman part for $162. They may have made the part for Ford to start with.

Bigger tires are for aesthetics. They won’t be huge but I’ve never been a fan of stock size. Bigger tires on a TV effectively lowers it's rating and performance as a TV. How much is debatable. but it definantly will not help it.
