Honda Generator Recall

While in camping world tonight, I noticed on the shelf where the 2200 generator was supposed to be, was a notice of a stop sale / recall. Honda's own site doesn't even have notice of this recall???!!!???

Well there it is....doesn't look fake to me. It will be inconvenient for some, but still a nice gen when brought up to safe specs.

I picked up my old Honda 2000 last week from my local Honda repair shop, he showed me a shelf of 2200’s waiting for the recall fix which hasn’t been determined yet. Said be glad I had a 2000 if needing it used. I also have a newer 2000 and asked him if i could determine if it is recalled, he said the 2200 were and not the 2000s. Didn’t mention the 2800.

If you have a 2200 I would check it out.

Was a recall of 2800 gens. No info of 2200 recall.

Last recall for Honda generators on either the CPSC web site or the Honda Power Equipment web site is Dec 2017 and involves 2800i models.
