Everything sounds really good except for the tail lights. That really surprises me. I would be that the two serpentine belts were routine maintenance items, not failures.

Congrats!

I just replaced a tail light bulb two weeks ago and want to say that was the second one this year.

As for the serpentine belt. Yes that is a wear item/maintenance replacement. I replaced the first one around 120k miles and when I had my truck in the shop for the AC compressor replacement back in April I had them replace the belt since they were already working in that area.

I try to avoid the shop so if there's something else that needs to be addressed in the near future I will have it serviced early. My current brake job was also serviced during that same visit and I'm sure they still had some miles left.

I got the spare belts out for our two 4B150's and installed as a maintenance item, and soon notice they were cracking! I go what the F, until I remember the boat was 11 years old and the spare parks kits came aboard when the boat was new!!!

I would like to keep it for another 2 years, which would put it at ~250k miles and 10 years old but by then my son will be starting college, my wife is wanting a new Jeep/Bronco so I maybe drawing the short straw and will keep it even longer. [emoticon]

I get 100,000+ miles out of my bulbs these days. My wife's car has 140,000 and counting on the taillights. I own 7 vehicles for use by 5 people and can only remember changing one taillight in the last 10 years or so. If I couldn't find a cause for your failures I would definitely check out some LED bulbs.

Yeah my wifes 2014 Ford Edge Sport still has the original bulbs, but it never leaves the street whereas my truck always gets driven on a dirt road and some pretty bumpy gravel roads so maybe its the vibration/shock that reduces the lifespan. Having said that these rear bulbs life span seam to be on par with my previous 05 Super Duty. I did look into LED's when I converted the front lights, fog lights, bed lights and rear back up lights to LED's, but decided I didn't want to mess with adding the resistors to prevent the fast blinking so I decided to stay with the standard Sylvania light bulb.

Look for LL in the bulb number for the Long Life variation.
