Years ago when I visited Niagara Falls on the Canadian side there was a large parking lot (Up the river about a mile from the actual falls) with the shuttle bus to and from falls. I plan to visit this September but cannot find any information on this parking/shuttlebus. We have a campground so we will not be taken our RV to the falls, only our pickup truck.

Any information on Visiting Niagara Falls is welcome

Please give me enough troubles, uncertainty, problems, obstacles and STRESS so that I do not become arrogant, proud, and smug in my own abilities, and enough blessings and good times that I realize that someone else is in charge of my life.

Increased traffic has turned a lot of those areas into passenger car spots. It's good that you're taking a pickup. Oh, and my info is about 5 years old already too.

Here's a link about the "Go System"
People Mover

PS check the COVID-19 restrictions before you come.
Right now you must be fully vaccinated and have a negative test within 72 hr prior to crossing. Then you must register on the "CanEntry" website. You all need to carry all verification paperwork with you as you cross.

I haven’t been there yet this year, but last year the huge parking area you are talking about was closed due to lack of demand, however a big parking close to the brink of the falls was open and only about 1/2 full. I’m sure that if the demand is there , they will open the other lot.
Here is the link to Niagara Parks Commission. Com
It should answer most of your questions.

Be sure to check whether the Canadian border has an "open" or a "closed" sign out front before you head that way (unless you're in Canada already, then just ignore my post!) [emoticon]

Here are some listings of parking lots. I believe the one you were remembering was the Floral Showhouse.

The public transportation is now WEGO

Be sure to check the package deals for tickets - it can save you money.

Make sure to leave some time to just sit at Table Rock and watch the water pour over the edge - it's mesmerising.

Also, check out the T.W. Kriner books, In the Mad Water and Journeys to the Brink of Doom. They tell of all the people (and animals) who have gone over the falls over the years.

When we went in before times a few years back, there was 0 parking on the canadian side, for anything. You would do better to park on the american side and walk across the rainbow bridge. In fact we spent a lot of time on the american side , it was diffrent as we always had to cross the boarder before. Have fun. And where are you staying?
