The title may say 1990 but this power converter.....115ac to 12vdc seems out of the late sixties. This fifth Wheeler is old. Axle might have had brakes once.... the flange is correct for brakes but no mechanism. My only method of pulling is a small trailer.

Bingo, That Converter is from the 70's(or 60's). Doug

Trailer names are sometimes purchased from defunct brands. Skyline if this trailer is NOT a Skyline, then Skyline purchased the name after the original builder went out of business. Doug

I don't quite follow. You're saying the"Weekender" name may not be the same as the manufacturer?

Further investigation.... the gooseneck shows signs of having a large tag replaced by a WA DMV serial number tag. Also, I'm right about the the electric brakes.. the cannon plug is still on with the wiring for the breakaway safety device. The fellow who's name was on the title died over a decade ago. Fortunately I found his widow and TN accepted her sign off. Somewhere in the past years this thing changed hands but the original serial number tag was gone. WA DMV probably dragged their feet but agreed to assign a home made tag in 1990. I've built trailers and you take them into DMV for inspection and the WA tag. Someone took this in to DMV in 1990 and the state did what they could. However... this remains an early 70's (??) factory built single axle fifth wheel. "Weekender" was the moniker of the day but who made it I still don't know. I'm drying it out, sealing the roof, and painting "Kilz". It's got more life in it. That Coleman furnace is great... really great.

Yes. Manufacturer are the maker. Weekender is the Brand/Model. If the Brand name is popular or liked and the original went out of business, another RV maker may purchase the name. Your Chevy is tagged with various models, but GM is the manufacturer. For instance, in the 70's OPEN ROAD was a well known Class A motorhome. Went out of business in the late 70's. Tiffin Motorhomes purchased the Name Open Road in the late 80's and came out with a Tiffin OPEN ROAD motorhome. Doug

I was asking if there's a market for a short gooseneck trailer specifically designed for carrying a TC. A 4WD F150 could tow it
2011 Ford F-150 EcoBoost SuperCab Max Tow, 2084# Payload, 11,300# Tow,
Timbrens, PullRite SuperGlide 2700 15K
2013 KZ Durango 2857
