After Tequila on the toll road at kilometer 20 is a sign about the new Guadalajara Libramiento. The third sign says it's open!!!!! Fourth has an arrow!!!!!! The entrance is barricaded.
So, took the periferico to the airport/Chapala turnoff. It's in normal condition. Drove 12+ miles, thought we'd missed it. Nope. Going toward Tepic it's not open, and there isn't an entrance to the piece that is open. So, a couple of hundred yards ahead, follow the trucks, take the retorno, then enter the fabulous piece of bypass that is open, and was last spring. It's still wonderful with no one using it.
We asked the 4 women in the toll booth when the other piece would open, and they said they had no idea, no one tells them anything. Hoping it's open for our spring return!
