We stuck to the little highway. I don't remember anything extreme about that part of the drive. The 14 was pretty twisty and high though, if you're averse to those kinds of roads.

We drove up the 14 in the pickup to go hike in Cedar Breaks NM. It's gorgeous up there, but I wouldn't have wanted to tow the RV.

There's a pretty loop north from there through Brian Head up to Parawan to get back to hwy 15.

We went up 14 from Cedar City to Duck Creek Village a couple of years ago pulling a 31' TT. I didn't have any problems; very scenic road.

4000 feet up at an 8.5 percent grade = no fun IMO. Take hwy 20. I have driven the road in both directions, but would not tow it unless I absolutely had to.

Haven't looked but if it shows `scenic' next to the road on the map we avoid it for the reasons previously stated.

We towed our fifth wheel over it from east to west in a snowstorm on Memorial Day weekend 2015. Cedar Breaks NM was actually closed due to the snow, so we didn't get to see it. Fortunately the snow changed to rain by the time we got to the switchbacks, but we did need our exhaust brake most of the way downhill to Cedar City. Interesting road, but probably wouldn't bother with that route again.

It is also one of the most beautiful roads in the country. You decide what your comfort level is. I keep seeing posts on this forum from people that are not comfortable driving anything but a perfectly level, laser straight road. Me, I want crooked and hilly. My kids look on the maps for "roads with character."

It's a long climb. It's one of the higher passes in Utah. It's a 4000 ft climb from Cedar City.

Well, I can't find any hwy 14. Doesn't google maps help?

Oh... Cedar City.. Well, that makes a difference!
