Myrtle Beah SC to Kill devil. l hill NC

Thinking of going up RT 17, to RT 64 to outer banks. Aprox. 350 mi I think, looking for camping about 3/4 of the way up and camp ground at Kill Devil Hill. Trip will be in mid April ---- Bugs ?

17 is a good route. Not much for camping round here though. All our camping is in Hatteras. May be a spot at Charlies rv park in Kitty Hawk. Nothing in Kill Devil Hills. 2 in Kitty Hawk but they are year round..but they do have a spot or 2 for usually for rent.

Bugs arent a problem...yet in April.
