Parking in Calgary

In June next year I will be visiting Calgary but I will only be there for one day, not overnight, so I am not looking for a campground, just a place to park a 26' C downtown in a secure location.
Any ideas?

You can park almost anywhere as long as you don't leave it longer than 24 hours. Downtown isn't good as there is limited parking and is it very expensive except on the weekends. The Zoo is good, and it is close to the train.

You can park in front of our house if you want. We are about 2 blocks from the train on the west side of Calgary.

As mentioned right in downtown is not a place for a bus to park in this town. The zoo or many of the malls with Walmarts are right along the LRT line and you could park there and take the train into downtown. Probably the best ways to do it.

Shawnessy Shoppes in the deep SW. Walmart, Home Depot and lots others see RV's parked at and can walk to C-Train across street for transportation.

The Bass Pro Shop is a long long way N of downtown Calgary. Been there. Overnighted there in 2011.

Check the mass transit system & where it stops. Maybe a mall or somewhere else with a big carpark.

Thanks for the info.
I will probably go for parking at the zoo since there is a C train station there only a few stops from downtown.
All I have to do is to figure out how the ParkPlus system works, surely you don't have to create an account and password etc. just for a one time few hours at the zoo!!!!!

Hi,

Daytime parking in Calgary is not much of an issue as far as security goes. If you are not staying overnight, any of the Walmart or shopping centers can accommodate the RV. Just find one near to where you plan on visiting. At least two casino's allow overnight parking.

There's no way to get downtown from BassPro, is there? I think the zoo has RV parking, and if you're going on a weekend there will be room at any of the commuter train stations.

X2 on the Bass Pro shop..

I've seen many RV's parked there. There is also a vacant parking area that some RV's have parked just off the SE corner of their parking lot.

I don't know of any place downtown that you can safely park.
