Thanks to all the suggestions, I have a pretty good idea about getting to Portland. I am working on the return route but want to stop to see the historic sites in Philadelphia. What route would be best in motorhome with toad? There is a Good Sam Park about 15 miles south of Philly in Clarksboro, NJ that looks pretty good.
Thanks for your help.

Your camping choice is a good one. Use it....... park the MH at the CG and use the toad in the city.

Use either I-287 or I-84 to cross the Hudson River in NY State.
If using I-84 take it to the NYS Thruway (I-87) south. This is a toll road.
Follow i-287 south.

You then have two choices....... scenic or fastest

Scenic and Free
I-287 to Exit 17
US 202/206 south to split of the roads.
Follow US 202 .... others roads seem more direct but have too many stop lights.
Follow US 202 to NJ 31 South
NJ 31 south to I-95/295

Fastest with tolls
i-287 to NJ Turnpike ...... a toll road
Turnpike to exit 5
Go West one mile on CR 541 to i-295 South

87 to 287 to 295 at non rush hour Ben Franklin Bridge to center city with toad.
Order is illusion. Chaos is reality. But right or wrong I'm still the captain. 🙂
