We will be visiting the Park next week and will have our 11 year old grandson with us. And need ideas on things in that area that might appeal to him. He needs to be kept busy. We have been to the visitor center and the Hensley Settlement before and we are considering the Cave Tour this time but other ideas would be appreciated.

Cumberland Falls SP isn't too far away (Corbin), and neither is Natural Tunnel SP in Virginia if you're looking for side trips.

The caves will be good for a full day.
Abraham Lincoln Library and Museum might be good.

Definitely take the trip through the tunnel.

Not much else there to keep him occupied unless he likes to hike. There might be horseback rides somewhere near.

We were just there a week ago today (Sunday)--not an RV trip this time, but auto and stayed in a B&B in Cumberland Gap, TN.

We only had a limited time there, but made the drive up to the Summit overlook. There are some nice trails--not too long up there. And great views. You can look almost straight down into the town of Cumberland Gap, TN, and see several states.

We were there a year ago on an RV trip and stayed in the National Park campground. Very nice, just no water hookup.
