Ok - that helps. The National Parks campgrounds at Apgar and Fish Creek are good but they don't have hookups. Also, you have the identical trailer that we do and we also tow it with a full size pickup. For that reason, you will find that your length is going to greatly reduce the number of sites available in the parks. I'd recommend booking a site at Fish Creek if you need to ensure you get one large enough.

There are spots that open up in Apgar every day and when you are traveling, they will fill up before 9 AM. There is also a good chance you will not find one that will accommodate your 50+ foot rig.

If you want full hook-ups, there are a number of campgrounds just outside the west gate of Glacier that are good. West Glacier KOA is close (if you like that sort of place - we don't) and there is also Lake Five Resort. We go there every year. Can be a bit crowded but it is right on a warm lake - your kids will love it. San-Suz-Ed is also close to the west gates.

Hope this helps. Let us know if you have any more questions.

Need to be able to reserve. Not privat rv resortif possible. Wanting 8/7- 8/11. Dry is fine but prefer eletric at least. Kids 12&15. We use tt as a place to sleep and love outdoors. Any ideas welcomed. Looking at Fish Creek since coming from the west and gling to Seely after.

You can easily get into Apgar without reservations if you arrive in the morning. Stay closeby the previous night. That's what we always do - even with our 40' motorhome.

I think that only the 10 sites for groups of 9 to 24 people are reservable at Apgar.

That is why we reserved a week over July 4 at Fish Creek.

Did not want to do the drive up lottery pulling a 35 ft trailer.

Why not stay in Glacier National Park itself at Apgar campground?

We stayed here http://mountainmeadowrv.com/ when visiting Glacier

This is also where we stayed. It earned a place on our "Favorite Campgrounds" list. It is located in Hungry Horse, MT convenient to Western entrance to Glacier National Park.

The national forest web sites are also good sources of info, although not so readily found sometimes.
