NASA Launches Question (Titusville Boondocking)

I know the local authorities (Titusville PD, NASA, or whoever) used to allow boondocking along the causeway north of town for a few nights before a space shuttle launch. This is called the "Max Brewer Memorial Parkway" on Rand-McNally maps. It runs from town about a mile NE to the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge. It used to start at a swing-bridge, now replaced by a high bridge. I've watched 4 shuttle launches from there.

Does anybody know what the policy is now? I'm considering making a trip down in early December for the 1st unmanned launch of the Orion.
