We would like to camp somewhere on the gulf with our friends who have never been to the gulf before. They will need lodging others than a campsite as they will not have an rv. Our must haves are
Close to the beach
Blue ocean/white beaches
Can accommodate 38 foot rigs
Water
Electricity
Kid friendly
Pet friendly

Our would like to haves (however these are not deal breakers)
Walking distance to the beach
Pool
FHU

I have looked at the gulf coast state parks in Florida. There are no sites at this point. Thanks for your help.

Anywhere between Gulf Shores, AL and Panama City, FL.

We have been coming to these beautiful beaches--snow white sand and emerald green, clear water--for almost 60 years. Were just there at Fort Pickens in the National Seashore in May.

We have been to Hawaii several times, and to California. No beaches compare to these in Florida I have cited above.

Topsail Hill State Park does have cabins for your friends who do not have an RV. It is very popular and would require reservations as early as you can get them.

Top Sail meets your criteria. They have cabins for your friends. The beach is .75 to a mile from the campground along a nice road in the woods. You can walk, bike or take the tram back and forth.

Henderson Beach is more rustic but in town so friends can stay at a nearby hotel.

Nowhere behind the barrier islands is going to have the white sand beaches and blue water you're thinking of. It's more darker sand/mud, brown water and no waves. For the "classic beach" you'll need to go to St. George Island/Cape San Blas and farther west.

Ho Hum RV Park won't allow anyone under 17. However, there are a couple of RV Parks in Carrabelle across the street from the gulf.

I believe the name is Camp Gulf in Destin (or near). They have sites right on the beach with a dump wagon service as there's no sewer for these sites. However, no pets allowed. The other sites that are not directly on the beach have FHU and are pet friendly. They also have cabins for your friends to rent.

Is this close enough to the beach?? HoHum RV Park in Carabelle FL.

This is the gulf beach at Topsail Hill SP in Santa Rosa Beach. The campground is not on the beach, but they ave a tram that runs to it. It's about a 10 minute walk. Keep checking for sites. They get cancellations all the time.

If you want blue water on the gulf coast stick to points east of Destin Florida, or perhaps south of Corpus Christi Texas. Though blue water occasionally hits the upper Texas coast, it is very very rare.
