If you get the chance to catch a meal at Blueberry Hill don't pass it up.

Out by the University. Comes up on GPS no problem.

We stayed there a couple years ago and it was fine except at night we noticed the noise from the trains going by. It seemed like every train east of the Mississippi that was going west was funneled onto the bridge near by. Went on all night it seemed. Otherwise we had a nice time.

Watching this thread as we also plan to visit here this summer, we pull with a Kenworth tractor and use a Smart car to get around, I assume getting to the casino campground with a long set up like ours is possible sounds like city streets are involved, just checking thanks for any info. Would this place be far from Six Flags to do it also?

You will be able to get in and out without any problems

We really like the St. Louis RV Park, the one that's right in the city, have stayed there a couple of times. Basically a fenced in parking lot with FHU in an industrial area just west of downtown. Have always felt safe there (police station across the street!), super nice folks running it, easy access to everything in the city. Should have no problem as far as getting in & out with a big rig, it's on major streets and with the industrial area semi's do it all the time. We're normally state & national park campers but for a case like this where the city is the destination this one can't be beat, 10 minutes to everything.

If you thinking about six flags You might want to consider bablar state park. This is about 20 to st Louis 15 min to six flags, if that. The park is great. If you do decide to stay in st Louis the drive to six flags is easy drive on I 44 about 30 from the casino

The casino rv park is in middle of train switching yard which goes on ALL night! It also sits beneath the airport landing zone as well. Be prepared for a noisy night. Other than that it is a ok park for short stay.

We stayed at Casino Queen for 2 weeks in May 2013..would def go again..area outside of park is pretty bad but we felt very safe inside the park..it is patroled 24/7. We rode the Metro train all over St. Louis including a stop at the Arch and the Zoo..great place to spend a few days.

I did a search!!!But that sure as heck didn't tell me the condition of the parks or how hard or easy to get in or out.I have traveled St Louis off and on since 1955 and it's a mess with all the planning you can do.

casino queen is great place Not such a good area but the campground is secure and real quick to the arch Just walk over to the camp check-in/store and pick up the phone for a free shuttle to pick you up and deposit you at either the Casino (located nearby) or at the MetroLink station. For a nominal fee, ride the train to various stops through St. Louis all the way out to the airport. The campsites have two sizes and two prices. The smaller have no grass but are full hookups with cable and Internet. The larger sites each have a grassy area between them. Just a tip stay as close to the casino as possible http://casinoqueen.com/rv-park.aspx

If you don't mind the quick 20 min (depending on time of day) you could stay at bablar state park great place People hear thing there is traffic but it moves There is another rv park in the city which if it were me I would avoid There is a whole lot more then the arch to see. Be sure to go to Gus prezel shop ted drews for ice cream I know you did ask just thought I just thought I would throw it in
