Goodyear G614 tires discontinued?

We were just told these are being discontinued. Does anyone have any information about this, or its replacement? We have some on hold till Monday at $459 per tire installed. This seems high! Thanks.

Higher price on the GYs is simply the "insurance policy" you're buying with the tires, since GY will, in many cases, fix damage caused by tires letting go.

Check out GCR tires appears they have several places in Washington state. Put four on here in CO. $279 plus balance.

Hey the dealer probably has an alimony payment coming due. I paid $1400.00 for four G614's installed that included tax and disposale fees.

Probably it is the Marathon that is discontinued with the new Endurance on the market.
670, 614 and Endurance on the wed site. NO Marathon there.

According to Goodyear's website, they are still in production and available for retail sale. Discount tire has them for $305 each (Plus taxes and fees). In addition, they are offering a $100 rebate when you buy four of them.

Total price out the door for four:

$1418.04 with all taxes, fees and balancing.

Subtract the rebate and the total cost equals $1318.04

I don't think they have been discontinued. When I was shopping for tires last month, I was quoted about $370 per tire installed at the local Camping World. I ended up getting the Sailun S637 G rated at over 4,000 lbs for about $190 installed. Same basic construction as the G614s. I think the Goodyears are good tires but overpriced in my opinion. I think the Sailuns are very bit as good and are widely used on larger commercial trailers.
