I am looking at replacing my 15” rims with 16” rims and a taller tire. Currently I have load range E tires but would like to upgrade to load range F. How can I tell what the max pressure a wheel is rated for?

Get the 16" rims and a good LT tire. Don't look back. I did this to our last trailer, at 9k only ran 70 psi in the 235/85/R16 BFG's

GY ENDURANCE makes a 15” E Tire rated at 2,830# per tire. I think the op should be fine with that.

What the HE!! are you towing that you need "F" tires??? What are your loaded axle weights?

Well couldn’t be too big or heavy as it started out with 15” wheels and tires, I would switch to a 16” LT truck tire, and not worry.

You can get the GY Endurance tire, and wheel combo here for around $300 each. I have 6k axles, and this is what I'm going to when my 15" tires need replacing.

About $260 for a Kenda tire, and wheel combo here.

Good call and they simply will last a long time with virtually no chance of a non road hazard failure.

If you are looking for a good wearing tire , stay away from the Goodyear Endurance, they appear to be a 20k tire on the heavier trailers , very thin tread . If you are a weekend warrior they may work .

As one poster says look on the back side of the wheel for a decal or stamp and also some wheel ratings are in the valley which means the tire has to be taken off the rim. If your OEM tires are a 15" ST E then you may have a 5 or 6 lug hubs.

F load range should be at 95 psi. You may have to go with a 16" rated at 110 psi which usually are 8 lug wheels.....which requires 8 lug hubs.

The best upgrade from 15" load E ST tire on 5200 lb axles is going to a 16" LT E at 3042 lbs or 2680 lbs capacity in either the Bridgestone R-250 or the higher price Michelin XPS RIBS. Both are a commercial grade all steel ply carcass tire. Both have been recommended by their mfg for commercial trailer or rv trailer use.

PSI rating on rims is stamped on the back side of the rim. Be sure its rated at at lest 110psi for that load range.
