Slide Leak Thru Screw Fix

Had a small leak in left back bottom corner of slide. Found a screw in the bottom corner that secures the L shaped metal piece on the outside rusted. Put proflex on it and screwed it back in. After several two inch rains no leak. How do you repair with more permanent fix? Thinking of using larger screw with something like JB weld on screw and screwing back in. Concern is stopping water and making screw hold since probably have some wood rot inside the screw hole. Not really ready to replace floor as this is small area in back corner of slide floor. Thanks,

I'd do more or less what you plan, except I'd get one of those small epoxy syringes that mix the hardener and resin in the syringe and the mixed product comes out the end. JB Weld would be good but it would be hard to force it into the hole. Just fill the hole with epoxy and then screw in a stainless larger screw. Be careful about how large you go since it's easy to wring the head off or strip the threads on stainless.
