I got an Artic Fox with the large slide. The slide is powered by a "PowerGear" motor. Anyone know how may amps that motor draws?
Thanks! Happy camping.

As the slides age and if they are not properly lubed the draw current will increase. The mfg specs are determined when things are new and in good shape.

Don't know how true it is but my TrMetric says 9.5 amps on extend and max of 12.6 on retract. That's on our 2013 Arctic Fox 27-5L.

Read the label on the motor if it has one. Remember that it is a 12v motor.

Either 15 or 20 depending on what you have. To find what you have

http://www.powergearus.com/products/slideout-systems

near bottom of page has PDF file to tell different models apart. Or go by fuse, but I would confirm going by manufacture directions in pdf file.
