I figured it years ago that my family is safer riding in old $30k bus conversion, than in newer $500k DP.
But safety is the last thing buyers of luxury RV have in mind, so unfortunately fatalities in simple RV slide is thing to expect.

Those crash tests are pretty pointless. Have nothing to do with beefing up structural integrity.... Also noticed none of them were Class A motor homes ... which are substantially different than Class C motor homes... and certainly conventional travel trailers.

It would save lives, but we would never be able to afford them.

They did it in another country.

That is unfortunate, but the particle board/fiberglass motorhomes give no accident protection.
You have to go to bus conversions for rollover rating or ClassC for cabin giving protection to the driver.
Sad story.

What's shocking is that it appears to have come apart like a stick house in a tornado. Looks like it had to have had quite a bit of velocity (kinetic energy), then rolled several times. Agreed that it was either a medical emergency or blown tire.

Yes it's a Tiffin. I believe she said he was driving erratically. Could have been a medical emergency or a tire let go. Feel so bad for her.

How awful! (Looks like a Tiffin decal on the door?)

Sad. The wife watched it happen from her car behind him.
