Duck brand foam filter for A/C

Has anyone replaced their Dometic A/C filter with the Duck brand foam filter from Wal Mart? The actually A/C filters are high. Replacement filters from most RV store that I’ve found are $3-5 with only enough to cut 1 filter. I can cut three out of these for $1. They are washable, but for $0.33, I figured I will toss after about 14 days of use, if they will work.

I've cut my A/C filters from Duck or whatever similar brand Walmart carries for years. I do rinse them out from time to time, and usually get at least a couple of years from them.

I don't know about Duck Brand

But I buy a big bag of foam filter sheet and cut replacement out of it routinely
Return air filter is roughly 4" X 10" and I get probably 6 out of the sheet
Been using it for 10 years

Buy it at ACE Hardware

Any foam filter material should work as well/better then OEM
Key is 'clean' return air flow

This is what I bought. It a little thicker which is why I was curious. Yes, I Er the key of clean air return. But I didn’t want to mess the a:c up if the little difference districted flow.
