Late night faucet problems

12:30AM I'm in the BR thinking that it will be time to dump the black tank in the morning, so I turn on the hot water faucet in the bath tub & let it run for a few minutes to give the gray water tank some extra fluid to rinse the hose afterward. I go to turn it off, & it won't shut off. I can feel the valve move with the knob, but there is no reduction in water flow... :E I run outside & shut off the city water & that stopped the flow, thankfully because the bath tub is full...:S

09:30AM I drain the tanks & take the faucet apart & it looks brand new ( 1999 Adventurer ) No crud in it or where it goes. I put it all back together & it works perfectly. (???) I think my coach is laughing at me... :@

No matter what caused it, those bath valves are pretty generic. I always kept a spare two pack in case they went bad on a trip.
