Velvac mirror removal

Want to take off just the mirror, not the arm. Removed 2 set screws but mirror base seems to be a ball joint and will not lift out. There looks to be a split ring with 2 slots 180* apart that maybe a screw driver could be driven in to unscrew? This ring seems to be holding the base into the ball cup. Mirror does have power tilt and turn signal, so there is some wiring . Velvac web site schematic doesn’t show this model. 2013 Ford e450.

On my Velvacs, there's a small cap that needs to be removed with a flat tip screw driver. Then inside of it is a set screw requiring an Allen wrench. Take the set screw out and the mirror will lift out.
