Bird nest problems

I'm having issues with birds building nests under my slideout toppers while in storage.

Has anyone else had this problem and if so did you find a solution?

Thanks, Larry

Today I placed sections of pool noodles in the openings, and stuffed the center holes with moth balls...we will see if that works?!

I do like the idea of the rubber snakes though...but with so many rattlers in this area maybe the birds will ignore them.

As for the fake owl...I use one here at home for my garden area, but actually the local red tailed hawks do a much better job of controlling the bird population...I wonder if could get the hawks to move across town to my storage yard??

Thanks again for the ideas.

Larry

Just as an FYI, you can buy fake hawks as well as owls. ๐Ÿ™‚

Throw a couple of rubber snakes at each end. Problem solved. Also works with mice when placed under the trailer.

Fake owl or snake. Move it around occasionally.

They build in my toppers when closed. Either block the gap or put a cover over the unit when in storage. Mine is next to the S&B so I check and remove every couple days

Here is the best solution.

Birds like to build nest under my FWS so now I just close things up when not in use. I was amazed at how quickly they can build them.

Birds hate the smell of mothballs.

We bought pool noodles and cut them so they would slide in and cover the space.
