Hurricane Irma - Tips for keeping Beer cold!

I'm staying to ride out Hurricane Irma. New to Florida and Hurricane preparedness.

My new Floridian friends are sending me lists of all what to do for when the power goes out.

Like fill every empty container you have with water, freeze water in baggies to keep food cold then when melts you have water to drink, fill up the bathtub with water, etc, etc.

I found this tip to be the most important one! :B:B

We must be willing to get rid of the life we've planned,
so as to have the life that is waiting for us.

I have been through a cat 2 hurricane(Wilma 2005) in Florida. And had some damages to the MH. I am out of the way for this one by 1,300 miles.

With a cat 4-5 coming.
Don't forget to write your SS number on your arm before it hits.
Makes it easier for the recover folks that come in after the rescue ones.

Of course you could always use the water to flush the toilet when it gets full of TP from the gals drinking all that beer.

Nah, we're gonna have "pissin-in-the-wind" contests outside...or maybe inside if it gets too bad.

Yep. rockhillmanor is just joking and making the best of a bad situation.
It's not as efficient as a cooler but, it makes draining the water a lot easier. :C

My wife truthfully asked me the other day if we had enough beer to last through the hurricane. So I checked, and we don't. That's what we get for having friends come over who don't bring their own beer. So we'll have to get more. You simply can't have an effective hurricane party without sufficient libations on hand. God forbid we lose power and have to drink it all real fast before it gets warm.

Of course this could be a diabolical trick by the DW to get her husband to do the laundry.

There is better tasting alcohol that can be consumed warm.
