Breathing soaking crate pad

One of our springers is a constant panter. It's not a big deal except when he sleeps he soaks his crate pad with condensation. We've tried multiple materials but they all get wet. We keep him as cool as possible but it doesn't seem to matter. Thoughts on keeping his bed dry?

Is this one of the pretty much enclosed crates? Hard plastic? Sounds like the room is cold, the crate is cold and his breath is hot. A more open crate for air circulation? If he's panting inside a fairly enclosed crate, he probably is hot. let him sleep in the open on the floor, on a dog bed. Hope that crate door is open so he can escape if he needs to , as in a fire.

try putting a fan on the crate, ventilation should help.
