Crack in ball valve

Need a little clarification. The ball valve in my Dometic 310 toilet has somehow developed a crack and no longer holds water. I called Dometic and was told the ball cannot be replaced, and that the whole toilet must be replaced. I am having trouble believing that. Can anyone shed a little light here?
Thanks

I am NOT a tight wad. BUT I sure don't like to replace anything if I can fix it.

My Superglue fix worked until a couple weeks ago. I am now at my home base and thought about removing the toilet but instead I turned off the water to toilet and reached in and cleaned off the bottom of the "BALL". I then put s few ounces of LocTite PL3 in my gloved hand and placed an even layer on the bottom of the ball. I let it dry for a couple days but when I really let it slam the cured pc separated and was inside the tunnel so I reached down and removed it.

Not giving up yet!!! I cleaned the bottom again then scrubbed it with emory cloth then cleaned with Acetone. I mixed up JB weld and smeared a thick layer on bottom of ball. Let it set overnight. I have been using it and snapping ball into place for over a week now!!!

NEVER GIVE UP!!!

I did mine on the road last year, Aqua Magic died leaking on the floor. New 310 $150-200 why mess with it? BTW I would never go back to the Aqua Magic the 310 actually flushes.

I had never heard of it til it happened to me. I have been on several Forums for many years.

Mine is 5 years old. I wonder if it’s something that has been updated.

I was very pleased my repair worked so well.

Well I admit I had a 311 (The pedal is on the other side).

But if you folks say they changed it in the last 15 years I'll believe you.

I also switched toilets.

This search on Amazon shows a lot of parts for the 310 including the ball/gate flush valve: https://www.amazon.com/dometic-310-toilet-parts/s?k=dometic+310+toilet+parts

Here's a link to the 310/320 PDF manual: https://olivertraveltrailers.com/wp-content/uploads/oliver-university/Component_Manuals/Toilets/Dome...

I see several YouTube videos for 310: https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=dometic+310+toilet+flush+ball+replacement+

Exactly what part is not replaceable?

https://www.amazon.com/Dometic-385318162-Ball-Shaft-Cartridge/dp/B003WOIT04/

The Amazon Parts show a ball valve kit.....BUT it is NOT for the 300 Series (300/310/320) Bowl/Base are GLUED together. Can NOT be separated so access to ball valve does NOT exist PERIOD
Other parts show (water valves, bowl seals etc are for the 300 Series
The ball valve assembly shown is for numerous OTHER models but not 310

The Owners Manual LINK even shows that there is NO part designation for the ball valve cause you can NOT replace it

YouTubes........none show replacement of a 310 ball valve. They show bowl seal replacement, water vlave replacement etc NOT Ball valve

The dang ball valve is NOT replaceable.... can not order one cause Dometic does NOT have a replacement part number for one.

It is not that difficult to comprehend......or is it???

The ball can not be replaced... Since when.

The link below is NOT a recommendation. just the part number
You can likely find it for less.. I googled Dometic ball valve
I HAVE INSTALLED ONE OF THESE so I know they exist.

The part you need at boat and RV accessories

ALso are you sure it is cracked? THe seal often needs cleaning on these turkeys.

Sorry that will NOT work on the 310!

Too funny!!! I just went thru this. My ball cracked after 5 years full time use.

Two weeks and repair is holding strong. Remove seal, good time to thoroughly clean and apply a layer of Vaseline to bottom side. Clean ball with any cleaner, get surface clean and DRY. One light coat at a time allowing to dry for a couple minutes, Repeat 10 times. My path was about 1/2" wide to create a bandaid effect. Wait a couple hours and replace the seal by simply pushing it into place with the ball closed. Best if water os OFF during this whole repair.

This is more of a Commercial grade SuperGlue, it is GREAT for many things just keep off your fingers!!! Personally would NOT use the homeowner stuff! I have had this for a few years, I keep it in the frig.

Besides this issue this is hands down the BEST RV toilet i have ever owned.

Get er dun!
