Soft Start

So, I’m messing around thinking about soft starts for my 2 A/C units. Googling finds a Soft Start Up which plugs into 30 amp outlets. Now say’s discontinued but working on a 50 amp model. Anybody know why it didn’t fly? And if I don’t want to wait can you recommend a unit to use? There are a few alternatives, looking for input.

I would go with the ones that install into the A/C not the ones that "plug in" but that's me

I also have the micro air unit on my 9k AC unit on my AF990.
Works fine even when running my 2k generator.
