Hi all,
I have bought a 28 feet 1988 Triple E Class C (Ford E350) and I need to change the right (or front) awning spring assembly kit (the one with the tension).
The only info available on the vertical "arms" is a sticker saying Sunburst Classic.

We cannot find much on Internet. And when we call RV parts they ask us if it is a Dometic or Carefree brand? Anybody has an idea? Thanks

Thank you for the info. The fabric was changed and is almost new. Never thought it would be such a problem!
Will think about changing the whole thing then although not the best for the environment but there does not seem to have any other solution. Thanks again!

Triple E's were Canadian built. The Sunburst was an Aussie built awning. It is neither Carefree or Dometic. Back in the 70's and 80's there were about 6 or 7 RV awning makers. By the end of the 80's it had whittled down to 2---Dometic and Carefree. It is amazing that after almost 35 years the awning FABRIC is still in good repair. If so, then try to find a supplier. With the right costing over $200 plus shipping and the LEFT costing more than $175, (you may need both) it would be better to replace the complete awning with a manual Carefree or Dometic. A Manual complete Dometic would be about $700. Doug
