Is it safe or doable to unhook the battery so it doesnt overcharge? I recently last night pulled the furnace fuse & turned off the a/c breaker & replaced the thermostat with a digital one. Now I have a faint electrical odor coming from the breaker/fuse box & cabinet right above it. Please advise.
EDIT just checked battery water level & it is good.

It's probably integrated into the back of the fuse and breaker panel.

I have a heat detection laser guided gun, everything & I mean everything in the breaker box was 82 degrees EXCEPT the a/c breaker which was 92 degrees keep in mind the a/c has been running most of the day due to it being almost 90 degrees here in Texas. I called a certified electrician he said it could possibly be doing that because the trailer is a 2020 & has been set up for less than 3 weeks it could just be a 'new' smell.

What oldbiscuit said.

Of course you can unhook them. Are you asking if itโ€™s ok to unhook or ok to run the trailer without batteries?
Be more specific in your questions.
BTW, you need a battery because thatโ€™s how the camper is designed. Even if plugged in, many of the systems are DC current.
Canโ€™t help with the electrical smell. Nothing you did would have changed an existing condition.

Battery should not overcharge provided your converter is functioning properly.

2020 vintage trailer should have a decent 'smart' converter/charger

Smell from electrical panel needs investigated
Check that ALL terminal screws inside the panel are TIGHT
From the CBs, at the ground bar, at the Neutral bar, at the DC Cable lugs on fuse panel
Look for ANY burnt signs....melted insulation

Electrical smell means loose connections or melted insulation which can end up arcing/burning---FIRE
Is it time for your medication or mine?

With a quality converter, your batteries wonโ€™t overcharge. What converter do you have?
