The Clark Family Campfire Ashes.

Basically...an old school 35mm film container filled with campfire ashes.....and a log book.

You dump the ashes into 'tonight's' fire...make a note of the date, location and who was there....and the next day scoop and fill the container again for the next campfire.

I started keeping a journal when we bought our TT in the fall of 2005. I have a entry for every day camping, even if it is just a paragraph. The kids like reading about all the trips, especially the ones before they were born! My wife did something like this, she has taken a film canister of beach sand from every beach we have been to.

In poor taste Dtiller. Even as a joke, it's seriously missing the target.

The original post, very cool. I like it a lot. Do you have pix to along with the little containers?

Novel idea for sure! But Dtiller's post made me laugh.
Times fun when you're having flies!

Aw come on. Can't be any worse than that old "mother in law" song by Ernie K-Doe. It was just in jest.

Big picture, buddy.

I stared back in 1996....I've missed some YEARS. Doesn't matter. Use it when you remember....or have a fire.
