Disconnecting City water and running water pump doesn't fix the problem. Do I need a new pump? People talk about the check valve but I know nothing about it. Hope somebody can help with pictures or something. Thanks!

No switch that I can see, there is a filter, looks like city water comes to a T, one way is pump and other way is filter.

No switch as to where water is to go from inlet IE fresh water tank OR city water. ?? I only have 1 inlet port. Have 'valve in wall to direct where it is going.

As stated in the title...the city water is filling my fresh water tank. I don't know how to fix it. My water pump is a shur flo 15-085-00, I googled it and see tons of posts about using a check valve or replacing one but no idea what it looks like or where to put it or how to replace it if there is one.

Water is back flowing through the pump and filling the fresh water tank. Eventually the tank is full and overflows.

There is a known issue with the Anderson 4-way valve used in a lot of trailers that causes city to fill the freshwater tank. Assuming that is your issue, and that is your valve, then you need a new cartridge for it.

My dealer replaced my water pump to fix this problem under warranty. The tech said it was a common problem and due to a redesign of the pump. If it were not under warranty I would have put in a check valve to prevent back flow.

Google will give lots of hits regarding this problem and check valves.
