Date of TT Tires

I thought you check when tires were made by D O T . The tires on my 2012 TT are D O T 8383 . Kind of hard to be 83 week and maybe 2003 ?
I checked and rechecked the D O T 8383 What am I doing wrong?

As stated above, check the other side of tire. Several companies will place the DOT insignia on both sides but only one of these have to have the week/ year plug in the mold.

Agree. It's prolly on the other side

Should be another code on it; might be on the other side. 4 digits, first 2 should be 01-52, second two should hopefully be 11 or 12.
