My husband and I currently have a skline dart 21bh that we really just got, however after using it 2 times we already feel like we need just a little more space to be content. So what are some suggestions for something a little longer coach length, that's under 5000 lbs dry weight so it's easily pulled with our Dodge 1500 hemi? Thanks!

Just like choosing a current truck there are no brands or models to stay away from.
Check out these folks for small trailers in the range your looking at. The 241 RK has a slide.

If you liked the construction and quality of your current trailer, and it's just the two of you, then consider a Riverside RV.

Alabamajim on this forum has a Retro model, really likes his and recommends them. He toured the factory and was impressed with quality and attention to detail as well as factory backing for the dollar.

This one is posted on sale for $ 23K on Rvtrader.

Scroll down to 830FK, then review pics and floorplan
Riverside RV Mt. McKinley 830FK
Dry weight of 5,660 and 2,260 cargo capacity.

Also consider a Winnebago Minnie 2500FL. Top of the line in it's class. This dealer has about 3 of these for similar prices

Edit: Winnebago towables got their start by purchasing Sunnybrook RV a small, high quality travel trailer manufacturer, famous for the Titan and Harmony models. Minnies, I think, are made in the same plant, using similar plans and construction techniques.

We will rarely do any camping where we are loaded with water, etc. Mainly RV resorts.
Most of these loaded GVWR on these TT were 6600-7100

My advice is always to stay with the smallest, lightest trailer possible ! Check into similar size TT with slide out for a dinette AND a Murphy bed. Both give you a lot more "living" space.

These are the ones we are considering currently - what do you guys think?
Coleman 2305QB - dry weight 5020 1 side
Keystone Bullet 269RLS 5150 dry - 1 side
Keystone Crossfire 251BH - 4300 dry no slide
Thor Shadow Cruiser 240BHS - 4730 dry 1 slide
Crossroads Sunset Trail ultra lite 239bh 4822 dry 1 slide
heartland xlt sd 241bh 5280 dry 1 slide

Dry weights are not very useful. What are the GVWRs (gross weight ratings) for the trailers?

Look at their max weight. Fully loaded for a trip you will most likely be at the TT max weight.

But again like others have stated add the tongue weight to your payload and the TT max weight to your max tow rating.

I loved our trailer. But it just took one weekend in it with our 3 small dogs in their little kennels, and I wanted something bigger. Lol!

We went with a Keystone Springdale 2600TB, which I think is similar to the Crossfire 2510BH. We love it, but everyone has different preferences. We moved up from a popup, so ours feels like a mansion. The lack of a slide will make things more cramped than one with a slide, but it does reduce the weight of the unit.

We wanted to get a smaller rig after selling our 32' fifth wheel and do more dry camping. We bought a Coleman 202RD with a GVW of 7600# and unloaded weight of 4400# with cargo capacity of 3200#.This is a bare bones trailer with no slides and is 8ft wide and 24'11" long.It has a 60gal fresh water cap. with 42 grey and 42 black tanks. Two small(20#) propane tanks round out the highlights. We had a second battery and power
hitch lift installed and I replaced the bathroom fan with a remote Fantastic fan.I'm ready for our first dry camp trip to the Metolius river next week after two state park visits with full hookups !

Our truck is rated to tow 8000 but I don't want to max it out

Tow ratings and payload for the tongue weight, passengers and stuff are two different things. An 8,000 lb. GVWR trailer loaded could put 900 lbs. of tongue weight on the tow vehicle. I towed a 7,200 lb. travel trailer with a 1/2-ton Tahoe (well within the Tahoe's tow and payload ratings). The TV sat level with a good WD hitch, but the trailer was still too much for the Tahoe in the mountains and on bad roads.

Would you guys consider ones withoh slides? Just seems like a slide gives you more space and open feel. In our trailer my husband and I felt like we were right on top of each other the whole time.

There are several that meet that list of wants. Keystone passport ultralights maybe
25' box models under 5000lbs with more storage, 2520 also has a 76 gallon grey tank which is great for dry camping. Your in Va, www.RV007.com is located in Danville and has several in stock with prices around 22k.
