How do you store bikes inside your Truck Camper?

Well, we are adding another truck camper to our group and we are looking for recommendations for carrying bikes inside of a Hallmark Guanella TC.

We prefer to carry them inside to protect them from road debris. Any help or pictures of what you have done would be appreciated. Yes, I did a search and came up blank.

Small 4x8 enclosed cargo trailer works a peach for keeping lots of loose camping gear, beyond just bicycles clean, dry and free of road debris :).

Otherwise, I have a Thule Swing-Away receiver hitch bike rack that works very well for multiple bikes.

That looks like a light duty version of my motorcycle wheel chock. I bet it works well.

Thank you so much for all of the suggestions and help. John will certainly put some of these suggestions to work in his new camper.

I carry mine in the back of the truck's crew cab when I do not have my trailer.

I did a similar setup to Bert the Welder. The only major difference I think is that I used a removable board to hold the bike clamps and then used velcro attached on the board and the seats. That made it fairly easy to remove everything once we were in camp.

Dick, there’s a whole world of difference between a Dahon foldup and a real bicycle, road or mountain. Circling the campground and taking a real bike ride are two different things.

Sell the bikes you have and buy Dahon foldup bikes. They can be folded up and stored like a piece of luggage.

I think a sliding carrier would work well. Check this example out from FitRV for a small trailer.

Btw, they are hardcore cyclists, so you can probably see other ideas on their youtube channel.

Yah, I tried the same thing, bungee cords are what I used and Or straps... I eventually just got a bike rake and a cover.. but I had a heavy bike RAD 65=lbs... so I had a better reason to carry outside.. too much for this old sole to lift and pull up the steps... good luck..
