Inverter installation in my AF992

Over the last few weeks I've been diligently working nearly every evening after work and three weekends in a row adding a few upgrades and an inverter to my recently acquired AF992.

I pulled the inverter out of my Nash 17k that I sold back in March. I planned on installing it in the ORV 24RLS I bought to replace the Nash, then the RV market went nuts so I decided to sell the 24RLS and my AF811 and get a different AF truck camper, and be done with 2 RVs.

The inverter/charger is a Victron Multiplus 2000. I also have the Color Control GX remote panel, Bluetooth Smart Dongle and a BMV-712.

Here's part 1 of the project

I mounted the inverter under the range. That's a common place for AF owners to mount inverters.

It has been a very time consuming process since there's a few other upgrades that needed to happen before the inverter got mounted.

I am upgrading (downsizing) to a 17" range, which will give more clearance between it and the inverter. I listed my old range on Craigslist Saturday night and had a buyer for it Sunday afternoon. The buyer is installing it in his skoolie conversion.

I still haven't finished up the control panel mounting. I have to fab up a panel to mount everything in. I haven't gotten motivated on that project yet.

I use a program from Front Panel Express to layout the design of the panel, then print it out and use I that as a template to cut my holes in the wood paneling.

Part 2 of the inverter installation

Today I should have all remotes and battery monitors installed.

I also scoped out wire routing options and found how easy it will be to run wires for new tank sensors, so that means I will install the See Level II tank monitor system I pulled out of my 811. I do need to order new sensor pads for the tanks. Those were impossible to keep from my 811

Battery cables: I built them from left over 2/0 cable I've had from other inverter projects.
