LOUD metallic clunk/clang

So, every few days, I'll be sitting in my RV and a loud, metallic clang will just...happen. For no particular reason, as far as I can tell. It's coming from beneath, and has recently become louder.

This has been going on for months, but I haven't been able to google/research an explanation.

Has anyone else experienced this situation?

not sure what your rig is but I've heard that is a common occurence on rigs with hydraulic jacks/levelers. Adding anti-stiction fluid to the hydraulic reservoir seems to be the common solution.

Mark your stabilizer jacks to see if the screw is turning a bit.

Can you feel the trailer move a little, or sort of lurch a bit or something when this happens?

I would suspect something in the suspension, such as a shackle that is perhaps bound up a bit and it suddenly moves as the trailer sits a bit after being set up, and it settles from movement inside.

Or perhaps a spring itself?

The sound of a shackle settling / moving would echo loudly through the spring, giving a metallic sound as you describe.

Sounds like the levelers, but I am sure more experienced will speak up
