Plastic insert attached inside of fresh water fill door.

Hi guys.

So I go to put some fresh water into the new camper today, and when I open the door to the fresh water fill inlet there is this little nylon insert in there.

It's not in the actual fill tube, it is clipped onto the inside of the door.

It looks very much like the attached image I made (horribly in Photoshop but that's another story) and is made of nylon or some other sort of white plastic.

I've never seen one before and have no clue what it does or how it does it.

sounds like the flip-up slot cover that is in place when no hose is hooked up and rotates over the slot when no hose is hooked up to keep critters out.

This made both me and DW laugh..

I thought it might, but when I popped it off the clip and test-fit it into the fill tube it didn't seem like something that would easily pop out again and I didn't want to risk it without knowing what it was first.
