Which tow vehicle tires?

I have a Dodge dually 4x4 and I'm pulling a 38ft Grand Junction 14,000lbs
I need a great highway tire and I'm looking at the Michelin LT 235/80R 17/E120/117R.
Does anyone of recommendations besides this tire? Or any experience with this tire.

I think you should check with your local Discount store before ordering. Thru the store you will get free balancing and rotating.

Yesterday I purchased from discount tire, 4 LTX/MS2 size LT275/65R18 e rated.
I paid $876.00 installed after receiving a $100.00 credit for the tires they are taking off with 21,000 miles on them. Best price I found. They are replacing the same size wrangler P rated tire. I think I can run 45psi not towing and 60-65 towing.

I just ordered Michelin LTX M/S2 for our Suburban from Costco who is running a $70 instant rebate until Dec 1. They had the best prices installed by about $100.

I dumped the POS Generals that came on my 11RAM Dually at 25K. 2/3 worn and one big tread separation.

I have 30K on Michelin MS2's they have been great. Maybe 1/3 worn. Well worth the money.

Only rotate the fronts side to side every 10K. Run 45 rear solo and 60 with my 4,500# pin weight. Fronts always 80psi. Nice even wear.

I just bought tires from Tire Rack and am pleased with them.
I don't know why the way they store them would make any difference. I would think that tires stored upright would have all the rubber run to the bottom making them out of round whereas at least when stacked the rubber may all fall to the bottom but would still be round. Kinda like when you have flat and its only flat on the bottom.

These are off my camper. Found additional 2 of the remaining 3 that had broken belts but had not failed. 22575R16 E.

BFG said there was no warranty because they were used on a trailer.

Had a broken belt on a tire on my truck while traveling, Local dealer gave me a 50% credit. Paid full price for the other tire on the same axle. Later found that the two original tires on the rear were on the recall list AND the 2 replacements were on the recall list. BFG would not reimburse or give me credit for the 2 tires on the truck that I had replaced while traveling but did give me two new tires for the second set of BFG's.

A word to the wise-anytime you purchase a tire go to the manufacturers website and register them. Dealers should but does not always register them in the event of a recall.

I have a 2010 F-150 Super Crew long bed ( 21,000 miles ) that I bought new from my local dealer. This pickup came equipped with a set of Michelin LTX A/T2 P265/70R17 tires that developed small fine cracks on the sidewalls. I don't use petroleum based tire treatments, but wash the tires occasionally with mild soap and water and keep them covered with the same type of white tire covers I use for my travel trailer. I recently took my truck to Ford Quick Lane and I asked the manager to inspect my tires for safety. He explained that the cracks are "normal for Michelins". I seriously doubt that his statement was true and I am planning on replacing them. I am not sure if Michelin will make them good, but I haven't tried yet. I tow a FunFinder 189FBS travel trailer that weighs 4,000 lbs fully loaded and I am not too comfortable towing with P tires. I am looking for a US made all season LT tire that is smooth riding but appropriate for towing a trailer like mine. Any ideas?

I asked for advice on tires for our F250 on this forum in August and ended getting Michelin LTX M/S-2. They're smooth and quiet.Tire advice

We were in Spokane at the time and shopped all around there and found Walmart had the best price, were fast at getting them in and they ordered them in over the phone with no deposit required. Costco was more expensive and wanted a 50% deposit before they would bring them in. It was cheaper than Tirerack by about $30 per tire.

I don't know about your size, but we paid $1199 including balancing, TPMS valve stems, eco fee and replaced our spare tire with the best old one they removed.

Walmart isn't exactly the first place that would come to mind when tire shopping. 3 months later, no issues and they still look brand new.... :B

Tire Rack supplies tire dealers. I heard buy someone who worked there, they decided to sell to public and sell tires $10 over wholesale.

Bridgestone Duravis R500 is what I buy. It looks like a mini Semi tire.

Many have complained here about the Michelin tires developing sidewall cracks over time.

Now I myself have ran these same Michelin's, but never had the sidewall crack problem happen. Course, I did trade vehicles (probably way too often) so time and mileage wise the Michelin's I had were not that old or worn.

No real tires I could say I would recommend for you at this time. I run all season or all terrain tires mostly now, so highway only tires are not my experience.
