Springfield MO overnight suggestions

We'll be passing through Springfield MO in a couple weeks enroute to Arizona and we need to overnight either at a Walmart, Cabelas, or Cracker Barrel near I-44. I'm reading that the city is less friendly to overnighters than in years past. Both Walmarts off I-44 I think are now not permitting overnighters. Not sure about the CB off exit 80. Anyone know of a feasible overnight location in the Springfield area, preferably off the interstate as I'm towing 35 feet of trailer? Thanks in advance.

Bass Pro permits dry camping. Nice restaurant inside, and the outlet store. The negative it requires traveling on city streets.

West side at exit M, there is a KOA. If your looking for free, your best bet is to travel another hour and stop at Down Stream Casino.

Thank you. Down Stream Casino looks like it may work. We'd be arriving around midnight. Do they check in RVs at such late hours?

Just pick an open site and register in the A.M. at the gift shop.

Thanks again. The wife says its a go! Just an hour more of drive time.
