battery disconnect in storage

The last time I put my trailer in storage it was for 3 months. When I went to take it out two weeks ago, the battery was totally dead. Once I charged it back up and used the trailer for a week trip, I disconnected the battery so that whatever was trickling would not discharge it in the event I do not get to use it soon. However there is a safety monitor still pinging which I believe is the Safe-T-Alert propane and CO2 warning. What is powering this, remember battery is disconnected.

I have one of these https://www.pulsetech.net/store/solar-battery-chargers/12v-solar-chargers/sp-12-solarpulse-12v-batte... that I use on my FW to keep the battery up. I replaced the ring connectors with gator clips. Was in storage for several months and the batteries (2 6v) were fully charged and had virtually zero water loss. We also have 2 others on 2 of our tractors. These are designed for long-term storage, like emergency vehicles, and are very robust.

My house CO2 alarms have them. The expensive ones now come with a 10 year lithium battery.
Well, I can't say since I've never seen a CO alarm in a S&B home. In fact didn't even know they put them in them. Learn something new every day.

Not all are twist off, ours is rectangular and held in with screws. It is hard wired and does shut off with the battery disconnect.

I understand that lead-acid batteries do self-discharge very slowly, which is why there are "battery tenders" that are supposed to keep 'em topped off. I also have read that for maximum service life, a lead acid battery needs to be charged up to capacity at least once a month. With these "details" in mind, along with the propensity noted above to not really fully disconnect the battery in some units, it might be a good idea to take the battery home with you, where you can see to keeping it watered, charged, etc.

Disconnect the cables. No ghost draw then.

Sounds like you didn't completely disconnect it. It won't ping without power. Find where it's connected and you'll find your drain.

Did you actually disconnect a battery cable, or just use the OEM disconnect switch, which does not kill all?
