I already have Directv at home with an extra receiver for the camper.
I currently use a manual dish but want to upgrade to an auto portable style dish. I have narrowed it down to a King Quest, King Flex, or a wineguard carryout G2+. None have better reviews than the other so thought I would ask here and see what everyone uses. Thanks

i would have to get dish service and a receiver. i have 2 camps that have permanent direct dishes already and my current box only cost me $5 per month. dish would certainly cost me more than $60 per year

DISH doesnt charge for HD or DVR so it evens out.

I switched to DISH and now have a Winegard Pathway X 2 that gets HD and can find either the eastern or western arcs.

I have a HD receiver (i understand the auto dish will pick up SD only but i have 2 camps with permanent HD dishes) The receiver i have will work with all 3 i have narrowed it to. Want to stay with DTV because the receiver only costs me $5 per month

What receiver? I certainally would not spend any money on SD only equipment as Direct is phasing it out.

I have the early Carry out. It has worked better then expected.
I purchased the pedestal as it seemed that in heavy rain and puddling water, water could enter the unit.
The pedestal worked but has a flaw as the legs do not pivot for storage.
I since modified legs to shorter ones for ease of storage.
