How cold must it get before a fully charged lead acid battery will freeze.

I have seen -40 and the battery was NOT fully charged. The blang car would not start because a transistor in the ignition system would not Transist.

Fired right up next am when the sun came up.

Home was where I park it. but alas the.
2005 Damon Intruder 377 Alas declared a total loss
after a semi "nicked" it. Still have the radios
Kenwood TS-2000, ICOM ID-5100, ID-51A+2, ID-880 REF030C most times

My MH batteries have seen winter temps of better than -60F and haven't frozen.

I've also read a fully charged lead acid battery will not freeze until about -70 deg C which would be -94 deg F instead of 76 deg F. At any rate it's cold

"A 100 percent fully charged battery will not freeze until approximately minus 76 degrees Fahrenheit. A fully discharged battery can freeze at or around 32 degrees"
