2014 Jayco White Hawk 27RBOK - What do you all say?

Well my search for a family TT has lead me to see several different floor plans. Starts to get very confusing.

We are me DW, DS (13), DS (18). We tend to camp at state parks, private RV parks, and may try some boondocking on occasion.

Our stays are usually 2-5 days with a 10-15 day trip planned for summer 2018.

Sleeping arrangements are very important. Each child his own bed.
Trying to avoid larger 32'-36' overall lenght TT, yet still be comfortable and not too cramped for the 4 of us during inclement weather.

Looked at primarily Jayco Jayflight in years 2009-2016....
28 BHBE, 32BHDS, 33RLDS, 29BHS

Although the larger 30-32 units were very large inside, they are just too long for what I want to pull with my crew cab truck.

Found this 2014 Jayco White Hawk 27RBOK. It has a large rear bath, U shaped dinnette, Hide a bed, and out side kitchen.

What are your thoughts n this floorplan for our famil and intended uses?

What are your thoughts of this floorplan vs.....

a double bunk bed model

or

Real Lounge model with large rear window and a pair swiveling chairs?

Here is Jaycos link to the 2014 27RBOK:

I will pass on this White Hawk after doing further research.

Just read about pre 2014 White Hawk models having issues with soft spots on floors. I believe this is a result of laminated floors instead of the stronger 5/8" plywood floors. I believe Jayco changed to plywood floors after 2014 on all WH models.

Per Jayco's WH brochure.....

TuffShell vacuum-bonded laminated sidewalls, front walls, floors

The Hawk mentioned is 31 feet of box, probably 35+ overall. Not much shorter than the 32 you do not like? Have you checked California state park length limits? See https://www.parks.ca.gov/RVlength Otherwise looks good but light on fresh water for dry/boondocking.

The hawk I referred to is the 27 RBOK which has an overall length of 30.9'
The other units, ex 32' models, have overall lengths of approx. 35.8'

Baja Man - We own a non-bunk 2013 White Hawk. Although a slightly different floor plan, we find it very roomy and with the couch and dinette as beds, I think you would be fine. From my perspective, your boys might be to big for those standard bunks anyway. We've been pretty pleased with the White Hawk and we use it a lot, make several long (3 to 4 thousand mile) trips a year. No major problems to speak of. The one thing I would caution you on is to check the floor for soft spots. We had to get bracing put in near the kitchen as the floor was very soft there. No leaks, just the flooring material and the way it was installed. Your TV will handle the White Hawk very well. Good luck .....
