Hey fellow TCers,
I stopped in the local RV store today for a replacement vent lid and noticed a Competition Solar brand 145W combo for $383 so looked it up on Amazon when I got home, and they're on sale right now for $125 from $399 !!!
Well I bought 3 of them.
Not affiliated with Amazon or the solar company, just wanted to spread the word!

Update?

So far my credit card has not been charged and neither has the order shipped despite the order stating the delivery date is November 12th, Day after tomorrow.

Anyone else have anything different than that?

Thanks for the "heads up". I squeaked in under the wire and was able to get the lower price. Surprised it ended so quickly??

Well that didn't last long. I was going to pull the trigger, too late. They're back to $399.

The price is back up to $399, but this Renogy Solar kit is a pretty good deal, too. It comes with a 100 watt monocrystaline panel, wiring, and a 30 amp PWM charge controller for $165.

I don't see how you can go wrong at that price even if you don't need that controller, just the solar panel to add to what you already have. So that is me! Just ordered. Anyone out there needing a 10amp solar controller?

I agree.
The previous links about the controller info were helpful.
I think I will just get one for now to get my feet wet.

If I were to get two of these, would the supplied controller work when I hook the two panels together?
Ben

Probably not.

Check the docs to see if the controllers can be run in parallel, i.e., each controller is wired to its own solar panel with the charge wires going to the same battery. That is not uncommon.

I would not use it .
I don't speak from experience but from what I have seen on installations of multi panel systems of that size.
Look into MPPT units:

You would be pushing that controllers limits for sure. I would say no, just to be safe.
