fresh water hose

Does anyone else have issues with the Walmart fresh water hoses? It seems that it takes us forever to get the yellow plastic female attachment threaded right. On too many occasions, when I turn on the water source, I get a faceful of water as it detaches.

I bought a couple of Camco EvoFlex hose lengths: 25' and 50', 5/8" ID. Very supple even in cold weather, light, and work great. Metal fittings with easy-to-grip housings. Beats the heck out of the old white stiff hoses.

2X on the RVWaterFilter store hoses. While expensive, they will make any length, have great fittings, don't kink, and well worth the extra $.

You are welcome! I had one person say they are no good because they are 1/2" ID. Look at the size of your RV water lines then tell me 1/2" is too small. I have never said gee I wish my water hose was 5/8".

They offer solid brass or Stainless Steel ends. I went Brass and don't regret it one bit.

I use the Zero G hoses in my yard. Never thought about using them in the MH. They claim they're drinking water safe. That would be a sweet solution.

Sorry to be a Zero G fanboi (which I guess I am), but I love these hoses. I have them at home for the hard and pressure washer and two in the fifth wheel to reach the pedestals when they put them at the rear of the site.

I used to get so irritated with the traditional white hoses, but I love how easy the Zero G hose is to work with. Sometimes they get a little tangled, but they're so much more tame than the white hoses that have so much of a will of their own. And then when it's time to leave, I just fold it in half and hold up the center to let it drain, and then I keep folding it in half again until it's about 2' long and screw the ends together and toss it in the cargo hold.

And apropos of this topic (difficult fittings), the fittings on the Zero G are brass and have nice knurled ends so your hands don't slip.

I'll never buy another white hose again.

Walmart is where your problems started.

I can't stand those cheap white hoses. They get kinked and never coil right, and the fittings are usually as bad as you're describing.

I fell in love with these Zero G hoses about four or five years ago and I'll never go back. And yes, the sun does heat up the water parked in the hose, but the hot stuff flows through quickly enough and lets the cooler water come from the bib.

The Taste pure hose yellow connectors suck.
The Camco blue hose has much better connectors.
Both from Walmart.

First thing think about where you bought the hose.

Go to rvwaterfilterstore.com they have QUALITY water hoses, you will never need to buy another. OH and they are still flexible in cold weather.

We used one for quite awhile. It was white and I do not recall what color the fittings were. Try using quick connects.
We switched over to Flexilla hose plus quick connects.
